Anything less might engage what most fear more than death – an Internet hating frenzy that many refer to as a “flame war.”

The interior really shines when both show and track are taken into consideration. Nate could have gone with a full racing bucket but that just wouldn’t make sense in a luxury car. Instead, Nate elected to go with Recaro Sport Topline seats. These electronic Recaros feature a climate control package that not only makes the seat fully adjustable but also has a vent to keep you cool. “I love them,” Nate exclaims. “They’re elegant yet fully track-capable.” Davis is so meticulous in his approach that he had all the interior trim redone in a brushed aluminum finish. “I did the brushed aluminum because carbon-fiber trim is so overdone and I wanted that old Mercedes AMG-look.” As mentioned earlier, there isn’t a mod on this IS300 that hasn’t been well-thought out. Even the custom audio set-up in the rear is wrapped in suede and leather to match the consistency of the Recaro Topline seats upfront.

Everyone notices this car without realizing it. Although the casual consumer might see this as just some silver sedan with a WRX badge on the back, the roaring, melodious purr of the exhaust is a dead giveaway that there is something more to the car than meets the eye. Pedestrians turn their heads, but enthusiasts always come up for a closer look. Subtle as it may seem, the 5D exhaust is the car’s only real outwardly visible modification but it’s just one of Subaru’s latest in their ever expanding line of dealer-optional SPT gear. Under the hood and beneath the chassis are SPT suspension braces, a nice way to tighten steering response for standard street driving and the occasional weekend at the track. Shifting also sees improvements by using a STI short throw with a knob to match. Alas, it’s still not a STI or putting you remotely near the realm but these SPT parts for the WRX are made for those of us who still like to tap into our inner Paul Walker from time to time. The SPT line is available now with even cooler swag for the STI.
